McGrath is located 221 miles northwest of Anchorage and 269 miles southwest of Fairbanks. The community
functions as a transportation, communication and supply center for Interior Alaska. It is adjacent to the
Kuskokwim River, directly south of its confluence with the Takotna River.
The camera is high atop the
KSKO 89.5 broadcast tower at the corner of McGuires Drive & Chinana Avenue in McGrath,
Alaska as it looks North, slightly northeast of town. You'll be able to see traffic coming and going from downtown
along with some planes taxiing, coming and going. Come Iditarod time, you'll be able to see the Iditarod mushers as
they take their rest. Last but not least, on clear nights, you'll be able to see some of the most beautiful sunsets you've ever seen!
