Did you know that the good folks at AT&T Alascom are providing free Voice over IP and Video Conferencing services to our troops at Elmendorf AFB and Fort Richardson?

The free service is intended to keep our troops in Iraq in touch with home.

Because of its intended use, the Internet service had certain minimum requirements attached:

It had to support the AT&T brand name in terms of quality.
It had to deliver at least 1 Mbps of symmetric bandwidth. At any time.
It had to reach both the Elmendorf and Fort Richardson YMCA.
It had to be affordable.

Who do you think they picked to deliver their service to those locations? Of course, Borealis Broadband.

Borealis Broadband delivered both links to specifications and at a very affordable price.

Actually, we did more than that. We liked the idea so much that we joined in the sponsorship and doubled the service levels.
